When?
Repot only in spring or summer and only when roots fill the pot completely. Expect most flowering from late spring to autumn (estimated).
Step by step
- Place in bright light without harsh midday sun; light drives flowering.
- Water deeply, then let the mix dry most of the way.
- Water less in winter when growth slows.
- Give vines a hoop, trellis or hanging basket to grow along.
- Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced or bloom fertilizer.
- Do not cut off old flower spurs; new flowers form on the same spurs.
- Avoid moving the plant while it is in bud; buds may drop.
- Take stem cuttings with 2–3 nodes to root in water or moist mix.
